Biodanza: The Poetry of Human Encounter, Tim Lorenz
October 2 @ 7:15 pm - 9:15 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:15 pm on Wednesday, repeating until October 2, 2019
Biodanza is a world-wide transformational movement practice that integrates music, movement and authentic connections to expand our capacity to live in the present. Using engaging music from around the world, a weekly practice cultivates joy and aliveness, enriches our relationships, and ignites creative expression.
Biodanza is an invitation to explore how you move on the dance floor and how you move through life. You will learn to listen and act on the wisdom of your physical and emotional body. You will have fun and be playful, and build your capacity for love, confidence, and brilliance.
One of Biodanza’s aims is stress management through the creation of a chronic state of happiness that becomes your best line of defense against the negative impact of stress.
Open to all levels, ages, and walks of life
About Tim Lorenz:
A friend of mine told me in 2005 to show up at 7pm at a yoga studio for a dance class. Unaware of the nature of the Biodanza class, I knew immediately something wonderful, amazing and spiritual happened in that 2 hours. For me, that first Biodanza class was filled with fun and profane play time, and also had many profound and sacred moments.
Over the years, Biodanza has enriched my life by helping me transform my life, my body & relationships. My outlook on humanity has deepened and expanded. It is a true honor and a blessing to offer Biodanza to the North Bay.
I have been in Biodanza classes in Italy, Spain, South Africa, and Argentina, in groups of 4, 40, 400 and even 1400 people.
Biodanza is an authentic and meaningful world-wide moving dance ritual for expressing the poetry of your life. Biodanza empowers your ability to lovingly connect to yourself and others.
Created by Rolando Toro in the 60’s as a continuous personal growth practice, Biodanza creates a sense of joyful aliveness, enriches personal relationships, reduces stress, and expands your capacity to live peacefully in the present moment.
No dance experience necessary. Adults of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us.
Classes $20, 2nd class free.
