Living in a State of Forgiveness

Is it possible that forgiveness is so hard because it makes no sense to our spiritual bodies? Why would anyone need to say I am sorry for…. if we lived in a state of forgiveness? Meaning everyone is always doing the best they can at any given time. Even if they know what they are doing or saying, and something is not kind, caring, or loving. They only do it because they feel like they have to protect themselves. Being open, loving, vulnerable and honest with our feelings is not always easy and seems impossible for some.

When we realize that there is a darn good reason why other people act in ways that are hurtful, then we are present to the love, understanding and compassion that is within us. When we stay connected to this place, we can better understand that what they did to us had nothing to do with us. Thus there was no crime committed and no need for an apology. Forgiveness is a state of being. It’s who we are when we are connected to unconditional love. When forgiveness feels like something we should do, then it’s supposed to feel hard because we are in a state of need, lack, and fear, which is the state of unforgiveness.

When we do not see anyone as an enemy that is trying to hurt us, no matter how intentional it is, then we are in a state of forgiveness. Here is a spiritual principle that if embodied will keep you in the state of forgiveness. If everyone is always doing the best they can, then they can never do something that they should not be doing. And since what they are doing has nothing to do with us, then we can stay in love and honest communication.
